When I got the Phaeton seven years ago, I was convinced I’d never put anything in the window, save for my college sticker and the occasional parking permit. Well, I guess I got the 7-year itch, because I found a couple of little decals while at the beach and grabbed them for the back window. I figured they were small and not completely tasteless, so why not?
Well I got done applying them and smoothing them out with a credit card like the instructions said. As I stood back admiring my handiwork, I noticed something. My little Cape Cod shark was facing the wrong way. Dumb moment for me? You bet:
I Googled a bit, and apparently you’re supposed to put these things on the outside of the window, not inside like I did. But to me, that just seems like a bad place to put it. What happens in the winter, when you’re brushing and scraping ice?
Oh well. Cape Cod’s facing the wrong way. I think I’ll live with it.

The left decal is highly relevant.
This is the only sticker on my car that isn’t there because it is mandated by law.

Gonna have to say, not the biggest fan of stickers on vehicles. Hell, I don’t even want to put my Oppo sticker on a car.

For a while, I had my school’s emblem in the rear quarter window of my Town Car, it looked great, but I felt self-conscious about having two of the same school stickers, so I took it off. I still sometimes take it out of the rear seat pocket and think about what could have been.

i don’t understand people who put stickers on their cars especially schools and military service. noone cares that you were in the marines in 1987 or that you went to some school.

Haha, yeah it’s kind of become my trademark, so when I saw it, I pounced.
I’ve thought about adding an Oppo sticker, but haven’t fully decided.

LOL - that was the first thing I noticed about the shark. In the first pic, I was like, “That’s neat, the shark looks like Cape Cod... but facing the wrong way.”
Whereabouts do you go on the Cape? My wife’s family has a cottage in Orleans.

Both sides of the vinyl should be able to cling, as long as you’re careful, you should be able to peel it off and flip it.
Also, whoever says vinyl clings go on the outside is an idiot.
